Adaptability – I go with the flow and tend to take things as they come to me rather than plan ahead of time for how I would want to approach a certain situation.
Ideation – I tend to brainstorm well with others, talk about abstract ideas or theoretical concepts, and try to find common grounds between seemingly different ideas.
Developer – I look at this strength as a part of me that thrives off of any opportunity to meet someone new or generate new conversations with new people. I gain a genuine inner sense of satisfaction when I do successfully engage someone new in conversation.
Connectedness – I see this as a part of my way of thinking. I look at everything as being part of a bigger whole rather than as just something that exists on its own.
Relater – From my point of view, this strength is closely related to my Developer strength in the sense that I value close relationships with people and gain inner satisfaction from being able to relate through others during conversations or small talk.
Values in Action (VIA)
Fairness
To me this value means that I treat everyone equally, no matter what the differences in peoples' identities are.
Forgiveness
I always let go of holding grudges. Even if a person does me wrong, I will always find a way to forgive them.
Humor
I try to put myself and others at ease through viewing things more lightly. I find that even the most serious situations deserve an upbeat approach, and that can brighten someone's day.
Leadership
I think there is a lot of value in moving people towards a goal. In a group setting, I like to introduce ideas that have the potential to spark a chain reaction of new ideas. When I see this happen, I gain momentous energy that causes me to "fuel the fire" by bouncing off others' ideas. In this way, I've helped myself and the people I'm involved with approach situations from creative angles that would have never been possible without that initial spark.
Love
Being close and personal with people is something I deeply appreciate. It builds trust, keeps things positive, and leads to new beginnings. When the process of reciprocity is tapped into and cared for, people build an environment that sets them up to thrive.
